Culture of Visceraman1 - Joshua Lopez:
To sum it up, lazy, male, video games, web interests, anatomy, and above all else, the love of Sweet Jeri. To be more specific, Visceraman1.com stemmed out of a growing interest in web related function, and an evergrowing need to put my projects somewhere. I found myself quickly growing out of room with the free server space offered by my ISP, and soon joined forces with Affinity to house my works. There was a time when I desired employment within the ever changing world of web architecture, not because of my lack of graphic artistry, but out of a fondness for programming, tinkering, playing, CSS, valid xhtml and the like (quite the bore). This was on the heels of a long, tired career in funeral service, one that had lost its appeal, that lacked reward and fullfillment. Someday, I'll write a page full of my rants about the funeral industry, tales of what goes on when there's no camera looming over you, until then, you may find a few rants over in the vault. As of late, I am no longer working within the traditional funeral industry, but have achieved a position of great interest within academia. Everyday is a learning experience, and I enjoy my position here immensely.
I'm very happily married to Jeri, and have been for some time now. My hairline sucks, hence the shaved head. I am completely relaxed when I find myself seated in the tattoo chair. Jeri and I have four children, Dante, Frida, Diego and Georgia. Of course they're cats.
Jeri and I have a small house, a small truck, small cats, and a beautiful life together. I irritate the piss out of her, and I think she secretly enjoys that. Why else would she stick around? I'd much rather sprawl on the floor with a beer and an Xbox controller than run, lift weights, or well...exercise. I do enjoy rambling about the mountains with Jeri, and wish we did that more often.
I lean very far towards the liberal mind. I have a great distrust of the government, and their agencies. Though I stay out of trouble, I don't like police, don't trust police, and wish they were more closely scrutinized. Unfortunately, I live in a community that tends to be quite ignorant and allows our local department to cover their tracks with great regularity.
I do enjoy cooking. My strengths in this regard? I'll get back to you on that one....though I think I'm pretty good all around. I'm particularly fond of eating however, with the exception of beets (pickled or otherwise) and something else I can't think of at the moment. Everything else is fair game. Ok, I try not to eat a whole lot of red meat or pork. I slack off sometimes, a horrid act indeed...but I seem to weaken in the presence of hot Italian sausage or bacon. I could stand to improve my dietary habits, perhaps tomorrow.
That's another thing about me, I am a great procrastinator. A master. Something to brag about Joshua? What the hell.
There's probably something I'm leaving out here, but since I try to update frequently, I stick it in then. Or perhaps it will end up in my little blog.
